On May 25th, Chief Geoffrey M. Standing Bear and a small delegation from the Osage Nation will be returning to Cuba, Missouri. The city will be hosting an event on May 25th of monumental significance to the history of the State of Missouri and our nation. During this event, a proclamation will be signed between the City of Cuba and the Osage Nation. This will be one of the first, if not the first, official document signed by the Osage and a governing body in the State of Missouri since the Treaty of 1825. This treaty forced the Osage to cede and relinquish to the United States, all their right, title interest, and claim, to lands lying within the State of Missouri.
People from all around the State of Missouri, and potentially from surrounding states, are coming to Cuba to witness this event and to hear Cuba’s story. This day and this celebration are all about the spirit of innovation.
Lisa Rock, President of National Medical Billing Services, and one of the leading entrepreneurs in the state of Missouri was asked to meet with Chief Standing Bear and exchange entrepreneurial and innovative ideas with the people of Osage nation.
“I am humbled and honored by the opportunity to meet with Chief Standing Bear,” Lisa said. “Exchanging ideas with a visionary such as Chief Standing Bear is extremely exciting for National Medical.”
