National Medical Billing Services Senior Vice President Jessica Edmiston, CPC, CASCC, AHIMA-approved ICD-10-CM Trainer, will be a featured speaker this week in Traverse City, Mich., at the 2015 Michigan Ambulatory Surgery Association Education Day.
The session, “Getting it Right – Understanding Complex ASC Coding Scenarios,” will be held on Friday, Oct. 30, 9:45 – 11 a.m., at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa. Edmiston will provide best practices and case studies around some of the most challenging issues faced by ambulatory surgery center coding staff, as well as the healthcare industry’s recent switchover to the 10th version of the International Classification of Diseases.
Edmiston is a recognized revenue cycle management thought-leader in the ASC industry. As head of National Medical Billing Service’s ICD-10 coding team, she works hand in hand with the company’s outstanding lineup of the most experienced and skilled surgery center and medical practice coders in the country. She has been a Certified Professional Coder for more than a decade and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
The 2015 Michigan Ambulatory Surgery Association Education Day is an annual conference and exhibitor showcase for surgery center professionals. The two-day event includes leading insights from clinical, billing and coding, operations, and supply chain experts.
