Lisa Rock to Speak at the 2012 ASCA’s Annual Meeting

Maximizing Managed Care Contracts

Lisa Rock, Founder and President of National Medical Billing Services (NMBS), will be a featured speaker at ASCA 2012, the annual meeting of the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association.
Rock will present “Increasing the Value of Your Managed Care Contracts” Friday, May 11 at 2:10 p.m. During this session Rock will discuss how to analyze surgery center managed care contracts to better understand each payor’s terms and reimbursement rates and how to apply them to the revenue cycle. The session will also cover how to successfully renegotiate contracts. In addition, attendees will gain insights on how to ensure their surgery centers are realizing the full benefits of each contract.
“Surgery centers can lose out on significant revenue because they don’t understand how to get the most out of their managed care contracts,” says Rock. “Analyzing each managed care contract on a regular basis and communicating the key point to all clinical and administrative staff is necessary for the financial success of a surgery center.”
During the conference, surgery center owners, administrators, managers, physicians and nurses from around the U.S. will explore ways to best position their center for success in today’s healthcare environment. Both clinical and operational education sessions will be featured at the conference.
The conference is Wednesday, May 9 through Saturday, May 12 at The Gaylord Texan in Dallas.
“Today, surgery centers are facing reimbursement cuts and new regulations,” says Rock. “So learning how to maximize managed care contracts is more important than ever. I look forward to sharing some of the insights I’ve gained by working with ASCs across the country.”
