Telehealth Benefits Expanded to all Medicare Beneficiaries

Telehealth Benefits Expanded to all Medicare Beneficiaries

Last week, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the expansion of telehealth benefits to all Medicare beneficiaries in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Through their 1135-Waiver authority, more patients will be able to receive a wider range of services without the potential of exposure to the virus. CMS subsequently released this Telemedicine fact sheet outlining the services available. Please be sure to review your state guidelines on telehealth services and payer policies for qualified provider types. National Medical is here to support your professional practice as you expand your telehealth offerings!
